Lianne Farbes is owner and Editor in Chief of TheMakeupGirl. A professional Makeup Artist and former successful print and editorial model, she has nearly 20 years experience working with makeup and skincare and offers services for clients in the DC Metro area. It was after Lianne began modeling that she discovered the art of custom blending from the makeup artists she worked with on a daily basis. She attended Parsons School of Design in NY, and studied Color Theory and Fashion Merchandising. Eventually, she became one of the first custom blenders for Prescriptives, a pioneer in that area. In addition, Lianne has also worked for beauty giants Lancome, Clarins, and Borghese. She started her website TheMakeupGirl in 2006 and it has since become one of the fastest growing resources for beauty advice and product reviews on the net. With over 35,000 visitors monthly, Lianne has expanded the site and includes a feature writer on her team. Lianne was honored by natural nail polish company Zoya naming a color after her for their summer '08 collection.
